June is National Cancer Survivors Month, and this year, JPMorganChase (JPMC) is amplifying its commitment to Pelotonia’s mission with a special fundraising incentive for all 2025 participants: Riders, Volunteers, and Challengers.
This initiative not only honors those riding in tribute to loved ones or celebrating their own survivorship journey but also provides a meaningful way for every member of the Pelotonia community to make an even greater impact in our shared goal of Ending Cancer.
JPMC’s National Cancer Survivors Month Fundraising Incentive
From Tuesday, June 24, through Friday, June 27, Pelotonia participants who receive three unique donations of any amount to their fundraising profiles will be entered to receive a randomized bonus donation of $50, $75, or $100, courtesy of JPMC.
These bonus donations will be applied to participant profiles during the week of July 1, providing a direct boost to fundraising efforts and fueling innovative cancer research at
The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James). This incentive is a testament to JPMC’s enduring mission to empower communities and create lasting change. By supporting Pelotonia, JPMC is not only helping to accelerate cancer research but also celebrating the resilience and stories of Survivors, caregivers, and advocates across the Pelotonia community.
JPMC’s Deep Roots with Pelotonia
JPMC’s dedication to Pelotonia runs deep. As a proud 17-year Peloton, JPMC has been a steadfast partner since Pelotonia’s inception in 2009, raising more than $3.6 million in all-time funds and engaging hundreds of associates each year.
For Pelotonia 2025, the JPMC team already boasts 210 dedicated members and continues to grow, reflecting the company’s culture of service and collective action.
JPMC’s commitment extends beyond fundraising. Each year, the firm leads the way in fostering open conversations about cancer and survivorship through the annual Pelotonia & The James panel. These panels bring together survivors, researchers, and advocates to share their journeys, highlight advances in research, and inspire hope within the community. By facilitating these vital conversations, JPMC is helping to break down stigma, encourage support, and spotlight the importance of continued investment in cancer research.
JPMC Associates Share Why They Participate in Pelotonia
The true impact of JPMC’s involvement in Pelotonia is best seen in the voices of its participants:
“I ride for Pelotonia because I believe in the power of community and the impact we can make together. Breast cancer has touched the lives of several of my family members. ... Every mile we ride brings us closer to breakthroughs in cancer research, and I am proud to be part of a movement that strives for a world without cancer. Together, we pedal towards hope, healing, and a brighter future for all.”
Allison Kiefer, 3-year participant, Chase Peloton Co-Captain “I ride to honor my family and friends who have bravely fought cancer, to support those currently fighting, to celebrate my personal journey as I approach five years cancer-free, and to highlight Pelotonia and groundbreaking cancer research at the James.”
Will Cicerchi, 7-year participant, Chase Peloton Co-Captain “Having lost both of my parents to cancer, as well other family members and friends, the true impact of Pelotonia’s mission changes from ‘a good idea’ to an imperative.”
Lucy Gambino, 16-year participant “In a world where cancer impacts all, from warriors to their support network, it’s crucial for all of us to band together in the fight. Not only do you find support to drive this fight, but you find an entire community united and pushing forward together towards our One Goal.”
Jillian Hern, 3-year participant “I used to ride because it was the right thing to do. Helping in a small way to support those friends and family who are battling the disease. However, from this year until my last, I will ride for my father who passed on October 31, 2024, after almost a yearlong battle with cancer.”
Rex Sarchet, 11-year participant “Whether they are currently battling the disease, have survived it, or have lost their lives to it, I ride to honor their courage and perseverance, regardless of the challenges they face.”
Peter Shehata, 7-year participant "I hadn’t considered riding until a quick and stunning loss in my family. ... Since then, I have several friends and family that have dealt with cancers, and thankfully they are all still with us. I credit their success stories to all the invaluable research and treatments that have been and continue to be made in the fight against cancer. Pelotonia is such a major contributor to this fight, how can I not ride? So, I ride in memory and support of those that are no longer here, the brave fighters and the survivors!"
Keith Lucas, 6-year participant "I ride in the hope of keeping it that way and reducing the threat of cancer for all of humanity, as the research and other work funded by Pelotonia is all driving towards the goal of ending cancer. The desire to have my children live in a cancer-free world is such a motivator, and the community Pelotonia has built around this cause has inspired me to participate in all 17 editions of the ride."
Eric Tippett, 17-year participant A heartfelt thank you to JPMC for their generous incentive, helping us fundraise and move closer to a cancer-free world!
